5 January 2014 – BBC Food and Farming AwardsPosted: January 5, 2014
The BBC Food and Farming Awards were established in 2000 to “to honour those who have done most to promote the cause of good food”. There are 10 awards categories in 2014 – one of these is for Best Food Market and nominations are now open!
The website explains:
It could be a traditional street market, farmers’ market or a covered market, but what we’re looking for is a regular market that brings together a wide range of great producers and serves a local community by providing fresh, quality, affordable food. They ask people to tell the Awards about the market that’s changed your town, city or village, and is making a real difference to your weekly shop.
The public can send in nominations for Best Food Market (and any of the other categories) by completing and submitting online nomination forms on the website (nominations for 2014 open on 5th January 2014).
